Mayoral candidate for Mitrovica North municipality, Oliver Ivanovic stated that since the last campaign in 2013 until today nothing has been done in Mitrovica. “Security became topic number one,” Ivanovic said. He criticized the work of TV Most and TV Pink that took the side of one political option, KIM Radio reported.
Ivanovic said the pre-election campaign is held under weird circumstances, and there is no possibilities that candidates debate about their opinion.
He in particular criticized reporting of the TV Most from Zvecan, who aired “an inappropriate and unprofessional” video about him.
“What we would do is to address the Independent Media Commission in Pristina and we will also address the Independent Commission in Belgrade, although we are aware that this independent commission would dissociate itself from that (…),” Ivanovic said.
Mayoral candidate for Zvecan municipality, Dragisa Milovic, also said that the campaign for the forthcoming local elections in Kosovo is the dirtiest one.
“If elections are a reflection of democracy, and if we look at the entire situation, there is no democracy at all,” Milovic said. He also announced criminal charges against TV Most, over the aired video depicting him and Ivanovic as someone who jeopardize unity of Serbs in Kosovo.
He called upon citizens to vote based on their will and for the people they think are the best, KIM Radio reported.
