Head of the EU Election Observation Mission, Alojz Peterle, said after a visit to a polling station in Pristina that he was pleased with how the voting process has been conducted so far. “Procedures are being followed and we were informed only of certain technical problems. Some polling stations opened a bit later but in general the election process is going well,” Peterle said. Asked about Kosovo Serbs in the north voting with Serbian documents, Peterle said the EU observers were not informed of any problems regarding personal identification documents in the north. “We do not have information of any cases where someone was prevented from voting,” he said.
