Kosovo Security Force (KSF) remains one of the most trusted institutions in Kosovo, said panelists at a conference in Pristina today. KSF Minister, Rrustem Berisha, said the aim of the conference was to promote cooperation with partners and present KSF’s progress. “We also informed our partners of the steps we are taking leading to the political decision, transformation of KSF into Kosovo Armed Forces,” Berisha said. He added that the KSF has completed the mission it was set out to do originally and it is time for it now time for its transformation into an armed force. “This is more of a political issue. There needs to be a better inter-institutional coordination and with our strategic partners. We are also making serious efforts to have the non-majority community be part of the KSF transformation into armed forces,” Berisha said further. He noted that KSF transformation through constitutional changes is better for KSF and the prospect of its NATO integration.
