In Kosovo, a second round of elections for the presidents of 19 municipalities will be held in Kosovo on Sunday. Elections will be held in two municipalities with Serb majority: Klokot, and in Partes and Pasjane.
The second round will be held in Klokot, because president of the municipality was not elected in the first round of elections, and in Partes and Pasjane, the election for the president will be repeated after the Appeals Panel has decided to accept the objections of one of the two candidates.
Namely, the Central Election Commission announced that Dragan Petkovic, candidate of the Serbian List, won in the first round of October 22 in Partes and Pasjane. Second-ranked Nenad Cvetkovic complained that he allegedly had an influence on voters and the Panel annulled the first round of voting, reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
The Serbian List protested over the decision of the Appeals Panel. Two days ago the List, due to such attitude on the results of the first round in Partes, frozen communications with the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and his cabinet, arguing that they are directly interfering and trying to impose the political will to Serb voters, RTS reports.
On the eve of the second round of elections for the president of the municipality of Klokot, Bozidar Dejanovic from the civic initiative joined with all his supporters the Serbian List, so the Serbs in that municipality will perform unanimously and in one column.
