Special Prosecutor of EULEX for war crimes, Paul Flynn, heard Darko Tasic, suspected of committing a war crime against the civilian population, as part of an investigation into the events in Mala Krusa near Prizren.

Darko Tasic is suspected that he and his father and brother participated in burning and looting more than a hundred houses in this village, as well as for the deportation of Albanian women and children to Albania during the Kosovo conflict, reports KIM radio.

“According to my advice, Mr Tasic defended by using the right to remain silent. The Special Prosecutor Flynn announced the hearing of witnesses in Mala Krusa for the beginning of January, stressing that he cannot guarantee the security of the suspect during these actions, so I will be the only one to attend the further course of the investigation and the interviews of the prosecutor with witnesses,” Tasic’s lawyer Dejan A. Vasic says.

Kosovo police arrested Tasic last month. Tasic was born in Prizren, and residing in Montenegro.

He was arrested at the administrative crossing Brnjak, on the road Rozaje – Zubin Potok.

Tasic is one of the Serbs whose name is on the list of persons suspected of war crimes committed in Kosovo, reports KIM radio.
