Hoyt Brian Yee, has resigned from his position as U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Asia. This was confirmed to Al Jazira by the U.S. State Department. The response says that Hoyt Yee has informed his colleagues at the U.S. Foreign Ministry (State Department) about his resignation.

Former OSCE chief in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jonathan Moor, is being mentioned to take over his position.

There are also speculations that Hoyt Yee could take over the position of Ambassador in one of the Western Balkans states.

He was earlier mentioned for the position of Ambassador to Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, but recently also for the same position in Sarajevo.
