Representatives of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) called on judicial institutions today to resolve the killings of LDK activists. The remarks were made during a homage at the grave of Enver Maloku, a Kosovo Albanian journalist and head of the Kosovo Information Center, who was gunned down on January 1999. Several media quote Ismet Beqiri, a senior member of the LDK, as saying that people outside the LDK were not interested to resolve the post-war killings of LDK activists. Gazeta Express reports that Bajrush Morina, a Pristina-based journalist, claimed in a Facebook post today that a member of the Kosovo Assembly and his wife are responsible for Maloku’s killing. “On the 19th anniversary of Maloku’s killing, I would like to see an MP and his wife in handcuffs and heading toward the special court,” Morina wrote.
