Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, told Ekonomia Online that she is against the revocation of the law on the Specialist Chambers. Hoxha said that although the special court is unjust, Kosovo must prove it is serious and that it respects international obligations. The news website notes that Hoxha’s position is along the same lines with that of her party leader, Kadri Veseli, but not with the head of government, Ramush Haradinaj. “The PDK leader and Kosovo Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, was very clear in his statement. I share his opinion. I am a member of the chairmanship of the Democratic Party of Kosovo. I think that regardless of how unjust this court is in Kosovo’s case, we must continue to meet our international obligations and prove that we are a serious state. Veseli too has highlighted the importance of maintaining good relations with the international community. But what is most important is that we must show we are serious as a state and respect our international obligations,” Hoxha said.
