The Minister of Justice Abelard Tahiri stated today that he will not comment on the initiative of MPs to abrogate the Specialist Chambers, because as he said, this is an issue of the MPs.
He said that the Justice Minister works with the laws in force, which also means with the constitutional amendments that were made when the Law on the Specialist Chambers in August 2015 was passed.
“This is a political initiative and I will not comment under any circumstances, but I am obliged to respect the laws that come from the Assembly. Kosovo has a parliamentary system, and we as the Government, we respond to the Assembly and the MPs, and whatever law is passed there, I’m obliged to implement it” Insajderi quotes Tahiri.
