Meta and Rama condemn Oliver Ivanovic’s murder (media)

The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, has reacted to Oliver Ivanovic’s murder in Kosovo. Meta said that serious occurrence should not affect the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

President Meta expressed his deepest regrets and harshly condemned the murder of the Serb politician and expressed faith that respective authorities will shed light and bring the perpetrators in front of justice.

“This criminal act should not affect the important dialogue process between Serbia and Kosovo, a process which is very important for the European future of both countries and for the stability, peace and security of our region,” Meta wrote.

Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama reacted through social media on the murder of the Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic.

“Deep regret for Oliver Ivanovic’s tragedy.  An ill-intended act which induces hatred and tension. The efforts for dialogue and peace should not stop! They should intensify!” Rama wrote on his Twitter account.
