EULEX: Kosovo decides on whether Serbia should be involved on investigations (Telegrafi, RTK)

Serbia’s Minister for Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic, announced that Serbia has requested from EULEX to be involved in the investigations on Oliver Ivanovic’s murder.

According to this ministry, the Police Director, Vladimir Rebic has talked about this matter with representatives of the European Mission in Kosovo. EULEX representatives told Telegrafi that Kosovo authorities decide on involvement or non-involvement of Serbia.

“EULEX mission does not make decisions of this nature. Local authorities decide if official Serbia will be involved on investigations of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder,” reads the EULEX reply.

Nela Kuburovic, Serbia’s Minister of Justice also said that it is up to Kosovo authorities if Serbia will be part of the investigation of this murder.

Shyqri Syla, Chief Prosecutor at the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica said today that they are working in an intensified manner and the entire engagement is on finding the perpetrators.

Oliver Ivanovic was killed on Tuesday morning close to his office in Mitrovica North.
