President of the Social-Democratic Party (SDS), Boris Tadic told Serbian media that since Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) came into power, Serbia’s European path is not conditioned with the progress and level of achieved reforms, but with “the trade of the authorities, in which they are fulfilling requests related to Kosovo for the sake of an international applause and remain in power,” KiM Radio reported.
Tadic also said that during his presidential mandate, “political hardliners were in power” in Pristina so there was no much space for policy of reconciliation and compromise.
“However, it is not the issue how much the Serbian and Albanian extremists from the nineties and today in power understand each other, but the synergy of their detrimental policies and values. It is the most obvious in a close connection of Serbian and Albanian mafia. And I repeat, whenever flags of a false patriotism are displayed, someone is heavily stealing somewhere,” Serbian media reported.
Tadic also criticized the current authorities over “destruction of democracy,” “brining back Serbia to darkens of the nineties,” as well as destruction of independent institutions and creation of “a single party state,” Serbian media reported.
