The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, raised concern over the relations with the European Union, due to the non-recognition of Kosovo by five EU countries.

He made these comments during the meeting of the government of Kosovo, where he stressed that it is unjust for Kosovo to suffer due to the relations that EU countries have among themselves.

Deputy Prime Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, said that on the verge of its tenth year, Kosovo has made a significant progress on strengthening relations with the EU.

“There is not a good development during the last days. The European Council has to present the enlargement strategy. I have two drafts here and I share the concern of the Prime Minister. I hail the EU initiative, but the approach is selective, because it carries a concrete date and year, stressing that if Serbia and Montenegro fulfill the criteria, they can become part of EU. There is a much generalized assessment when Kosovo as well as Albania, Macedonia and Bosnia are concerned.  This formulation does not lead our country anywhere,” Hoxhaj said.
