Pacolli without support in Strasbourg (Vecernje Novosti)

Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti writes today that the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Kosovo and the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.

Member of Serbia’s delegation and vice-president of the PACE Marija Obradovic says to the daily that the Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli was in Strasbourg on the eve of the start of the regular winter session of the PACE, taking place this week, trying to encourage activities related to the Kosovo application but that he did not receive even the slightest support for it.

– After the assassination of Ivanovic, it is clear that there is no word on respecting the organization’s standards – Obradovic told Vecernje Novosti.

Members of this parliamentary body will exchange views on the situation in Kosovo, on the occasion of the start of the development of a report on the respect of human rights, the rule of law and the achievement of the Council of Europe’s standards.

– We will ask to enter into the report that Pristina rejected so far our request for Belgrade to be involved in the investigation of Ivanovic’s murder – Obradovic told Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti.
