Kosovo’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs said today that there is no indication that the Czechia could withdraw its recognition of Kosovo’s independence. Serbian media reported over the weekend that former Czech diplomat Jan Kavan has initiated a petition for withdrawing Czechia’s recognition and to organize a protest on the matter. Kosovo’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Rejan Vuniqi, told the paper however that such rumors are part of Serbian propaganda. “These reports are absolutely not true. This is propaganda by Serbian media. We have received no such indications from the Czech government. On the contrary, two deputy foreign ministers from Czechia will attend the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence,” Vuniqi said.
