European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic today did not want to comment the statement by Austrian Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strahe regarding the status of Kosovo, stressing that the issue of recognition concerns only the member states, reports TV Most.
Answering the Austrian media’s question about the position of the European Commission towards the statement of the Austrian Vice-Chancellor, who, according to the Austrian correspondents in Brussels, said before leaving for Serbia that “Kosovo without a doubt is a part of Serbia” which, as they say, “is not in accordance with the official position of Austria,” nor with the “European Commission’s plans” when the Western Balkans are concerned, Kocijancic refused to “comment on comments by other officials”, reports TV Most.
