Pressure from Pristina authorities to impede and block the work of the Special Court did not have any impact, being that indictments are expected to take place soon.

“Political events do not have an impact on the work of the Office of David Schwendiman, Special Prosecutor of this Court, ” said the spokesperson of the Special Prosecution, Chris Bennett.

He added that the prosecution body of this court is apolitical and it has continued with its work unaffected. He however did not specify when the first indictments would take place.

He told Belgrade based news agency Tanjug that the Office of the Prosecutor did not make public the date or other details on the indictments because it does not comment on this phase of investigation.

He further said that the Office of the Special Prosecutor cooperates with Pristina and Belgrade authorities as well as the other countries involved in the process.
