Former President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, held today a speech at “Political Expediency behind International Criminal Courts in a Political and Legal Context” conference held in Hague, organized by Geoffrey Nice, former Prosecutor of the International Tribunal for War Crimes in Former Yugoslavia.

Jahjaga had signed the agreement with Holland for the Special Court, by the end of her mandate. She spoke about the efforts of Kosovo to bring justice for all victims of the war in Kosovo during 1998-1999.

“Today during my keynote address at the conference “Political Expediency behind International Criminal Courts in a Political and Legal Context”, organized by Sir Geoffrey Nice—former prosecutor at the Hague Tribunal in the case of Slobodan Milosevic, I was invited to speak about Kosovo’s Specialist Chambers, the rule of law in general and our efforts to pursue and deliver justice for all the victims of the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo,” Jahjaga wrote on her Facebook account.
