Jevtic visited families searched by ROSU members in Ranilug (KIM radio)

Deputy Prime Minister Dalibor Jevtic visited families that were searched by the special police unit ROSU based on a notification of a possible weapons smuggling, reports KIM radio.

Jevtic told local residents that there was no reason for fear, adding that this case had no inter-ethnic connotation.

Members of the special police units ROSU searched yesterday around noon houses of Nenad Cvetkovic, Dejan Cvetkovic and Slobodan Mitic from Gornje Korminjane. After the search, Dejan Cvetkovic and Bozin Cvetkovic were taken for interrogation; however the family did not have information whether they were taken to the police station in Gnjilane or Ranilug.

In addition to family houses, a search was also conducted in the cafe bar, ownership of family Cvetkovic in Ranilug.

According to KIM radio reports Dejan Cvetkovic from Gornje Korminjane, was released and Bozin Cvetkovic was detained. According to Mayor of Ranilug Vladica Aritonovic, Cvetkovic is likely to be in custody for another 24 hours.

Kosovo Police spokesperson Baki Kelani says that the Kosovo Police organized an action of control in the search for weapons.

In an action called “Morava”, the police searched four different locations, residential houses, accompanying premises in which were found AK-47 (Kalashnikov) with four ammunition boxes, mines, a box with 1,200 bullets calibre 7.62 millimetres, a hunting rifle, two combat knives.

Police confiscated 29,170 Swiss francs, 5,000 dollars and 7,720 euros, reports KIM radio.
