Hoti: Government must resign, or we’ll bring it down! (media)

Avdullah Hoti, head of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) parliamentary group, told reporters in Pristina today that the Haradinaj-led government must resign “otherwise we will initiate a motion of confidence very soon”. Hoti said “this is now a minority government both in the Assembly and in all parliamentary committees”. “I am surprised when I hear them say the government is stable. Under normal circumstances, they would have to resign in front of the assembly immediately. The position of the LDK chairmanship is that the country can no longer be governed by a minority government and that it cannot address capital issues such as dialogue with Serbia … It is important for political parties to agree on a date for early elections and if this doesn’t happen we will be forced to initiate a motion of confidence against the government,” Hoti said.
