The Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI) deputy chief, Latif Merovci, was expected to report today to a Kosovo Assembly committee on the arrest and deportation of six Turkish nationals, most online media report.

However, he requested through an official letter to postpone this reporting until the clarification of the circumstances created at AKI.

Deputy head of the Assembly committee, Ganimete Musliu, said that based on the Law, Merovci should have been present at today’s meeting and report on the security situation in Kosovo. Despite Merovci’s absence, this committee is currently discussing the security situation in Kosovo. Musliu said that there will be a statement for the media after the meeting.
