Parliamentary debate on the findings of the state commission report on demarcation and maintenance of the border, was withdrawn from today’s plenary session, with the request of the Vetevendosje Movement.

Glauk Konjufca, caucus of this political party, said more than a month passed from submission of the request for debate and Vetevendosje has preceded the case to the Constitutional Court. He said the matter cannot be discussed in absence of the Prime Minister. “The Prime Minister is not here again. I consider that it will not be possible to hold this debate without the Prime Minister. However, I think that there is a need for establishment of a parliamentary investigating commission on demarcation. Despite the fact that demarcation has passed, the Constitutional Court is considering our appeal. Except for this, we consider that many mistakes have been made and it would have been good for the Assembly to investigate the entire procedure, starting from the negotiations of the two state commissions. Therefore the best solution would have been to postpone the debate and endorsement of this resolution,” Konjufca said.
