The Kosovo Government adopted today a platform for dialogue with Serbia, online media report. The government has submitted the platform to the Assembly to review and then adopt it as a resolution. Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said the platform is aimed at concluding the final phase of talks between Pristina and Belgrade. “The time has come for the government to submit the platform for dialogue to the Assembly and the latter will then adopt it as a resolution. The platform has several points that can be articles of the resolution. This ensures a safe process to move forward,” Haradinaj said. He added that the platform calls on all political parties in Kosovo to be united in the process. According to Haradinaj, the final phase of dialogue will result with Serbia’s recognition of Kosovo’s independence. Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj said the platform has three objectives: mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia, Kosovo’s membership of the United Nations and Kosovo’s relations with the European Union and NATO. “The text of the platform includes everything that Kosovo expects from dialogue,” Hoxhaj said.
