The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, will meet on Wednesday in Berlin with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. The main subject of their discussions will be the EU mediated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Berlin is not pleased with the steps made in this process and requests from both Belgrade and Pristina to implement the so far reached agreements and progress on the remaining part of the discussions.
“I just arrived in Berlin, with the invitation of Chancellor Angela Merkel. Germany has always been a supporter on our journey toward freedom, independence and state building. We will discuss tomorrow with Chancellor Merkel advancing of bilateral relations, European perspective and dialogue with Serbia.
Her role in these processes is determinant. Kosovo will be responsible in the process of reforms and implementation of international obligations,” Thaci wrote on his Facebook profile.
Thaci’s visit is happening approximately a month after the meeting in Berlin between the Chancellor Merkel and Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic.
