US Ambassador to Serbia, Kyle Scott commenting on EULEX departure from Kosovo and Metohija, said there are other ways to protect the Serbian people there, since KFOR and Kosovo police would remain, Tanjug news agency reported.

“Kosovo police is there in the first plan. We saw over the last couple of days when some problems occurred, there were problems and that is horrible, and in fact Kosovo police was there to do their job, protect the Serbian minority and all other citizens in Kosovo,” Ambassador Scott told journalists in Belgrade responding to question on how the departure of EULEX would affect security of the Serbs.

Ambassador Scott also said “he is US Ambassador to Serbia, not Kosovo, and it would be better to pose that question to the USA Ambassador in Pristina,” Serbian media added.
