Kosovo’s Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Recica has submitted a motion for withdrawal of the Platform for the dialogue on normalization of the relations between Kosovo and Serbia, to give time to building of a consensus.

“On behalf of the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj with understanding, I request to remove the platform for finalization of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia for normalization of the relations between the two countries, proceeded at the Assembly on 23 April 2018, in order to give time to the building of a wider national consensus and continue with further consultations,” Recica said.

Vice-President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Xhavit Haliti, stressed that this is the right of the proposer, even though they expected to debate on the matter today.

“It is a matter of the government, we expected to have a debate, however the government has decided, and it is the right of the proposer to withdraw it at any time,” Haliti said.

Kosovo Assembly MP from the Serbian List, Slavko Simic, requested removal of the draft law for religious freedoms from the agenda, being that they need additional consultations on the matter. His motion was also approved with majority of votes.
