Considering the situation in Kosovo, deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) Hajredin Kuci, expressed conviction that early elections will happen.

He told Kosovapress that a tradition of holding elections in regular terms should be created in Kosovo.

“Let us not work under the pressure of elections. Elections will be held, it is obvious that they will be held, but let us not be under their pressure. Above all, there should be an alternative for elections, not only the possibility for those who lose the chess game and ask for other rounds until morning. If there is an alternative, if there is a displacement of legitimacy, I say when the law does not match a population, the law changes not the population. Let us see if this suits the citizen, citizen is the one to reflect,” he said.

Speaking about internal election of PDK, Kuci said no matter what they bring, he will continue to be member of the PDK.

“I will respect any decision made by competent bodies of the party. I will of course, first try to give my contribution for the benefit of the country, my ideas, experience, engagement, and if space is created, within the Democratic Party, according to the role. Being a member would never set dilemma, while there are other (factors) who determine public positions,” he said.
