Justice Minister Nela Kuburovic says that Serbia is committed to resolving the case of the murder of Bytyqi US citizens.

According to her, the Serbian authorities are working on this process and finding and sanctioning the responsible persons.

The minister recalled that the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the United States adopted a resolution that the case of the Bytyqi brothers should be solved, which also states that resolving this case would be the basis for further relations between the United States and Serbia.

“Solving the murder case of the Bytyqi brothers is one of the open issues that Serbia has with the United States, and that is one of the issues that always arises when you talk to US statesmen,” Kuburovic told TV Prva.

She added that the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office carried out appropriate investigative actions and stressed that there is full commitment of the competent authorities, but also that Serbia is not hiding anything.

“Federal investigative authorities in the United States had the opportunity to review almost all the cases before the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office and we certainly remain committed to resolving this case,” Kuburovic said.
