Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti reported that an Albanian organization from Djakovica handed over a list to the special prosecutor of Kosovo with the names of about 200 Serbs from the area, claiming to be responsible for war crimes.

The Association of Displaced Persons from Djakovica claimed that it was yet another attempt to scare and prevent the Serbs return to Kosovo, the daily reported.

Representative of this association Djokica Stanojevic said that the lists of displaced Serbs from Kosovo were made deliberately, in order to prevent their return, and continue the use or destruction of their property:

– This also starts to be realized because the displaced Serbs sell their homes and apartments for very small price.

The daily reported that the list included the names of prominent Serbs whose families lived in the former Serbian street in the center of Djakovica.

– The allegation that these people committed crimes 20 years ago does not fit the truth and they all know it very well. After the list with the names of 30 Serbs from this city and which included and mine name, they supplemented it with another 200 respected citizens – Stanojevic pointed out.

The daily quoted the data of the Office for KiM and reported that in last two months there have been more than ten attacks on Serbs and their property.
