Kosovo Police arrested five Serbs in Gjilan today under the suspicion that they are involved in activities against the constitutional order and security of Kosovo. Police said the operation was carried out after investigations by the relevant police units. In a press release, police refuted some media reports according to which there is a police operation against several former members of the Kosovo Security Force. Police also said in the statement that it works in accordance with the Constitution and the applicable legislation and that “the police operation is ongoing and in coordination with judicial authorities”. Pristina-based Indeksonline news website has published the names of three arrested Serbs, adding that one of them is believed to have pressured Serbs into leaving the KSF.
