Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, met at the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans summit in London the British Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict and Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the United Nations, Lord Ahmad. According to a press release issued by Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry, Pacolli informed Lord Ahmad of measures Kosovo institutions have undertaken to address conflict-related sexual violence and thanked the United Kingdom for the support in this process. Pacolli said that sexual violence during the conflict in Kosovo is “one of the biggest wounds which continues to weigh on a considerable part of Kosovar society to date.”
