Political analyst and journalist Živojin Rakočević said to Kontakt Plus radio that the so far prime minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi is too powerful to stay out of the system, and that Thaçi is still in absolute control of the political scene of Kosovo. “Americans deem Rugova’s heirs, that is, the Democratic League of Kosovo, unreliable allies and very often the communists’ heirs. On the other side Hashim Thaçi has, for his former combatants Limaj, Ramush Haradinaj, Jakup Krasniçi, an offer they can’t refuse and that is the essence of his negotiation potential and his power,” said Rakočević and added that Thaçi absolutely controls the political scene of Kosovo and that if any coalition is made without him it won’t survive and could lead to division of Kosovo into two parts. Latest news speculate that so far prime minister Hashim Thaçi has offered to Haradinaj the post of the prime minister, however it remains unclear how will Haradinaj respond to that offer.
