“Kosovo must remain Serbian and of Serbian Orthodox Church, because we have our biggest shrines there and we have the seat of Serbian patriarchs there. It’s been Serbian for thousand years, and this ordeal will pass and with the God’s help, it can’t be that Kosovo is not Serbian,” said Serbian Patriarch Irinej on Saturday while visiting Bar, Montenegro, on the occasion of Days of St Jovan Vladimir. Serbian Patriarch thanked people of Montenegro who extended their help to brotherly people of Serbia in fighting floods which, as he said, are of biblical proportions. Patriarch further said that the hardship has united people in the region since they all jumped to mitigate the pain and suffering of Serbian nation. “Our people has a saying that every evil has its good. In this catastrophe people got closer and helped their brothers, we are doing all we can to mitigated the tragedy and hardship, we are thankful to all who helped and who will help, let the God bless you all,” said Serbian Patriarch Irinej.
