Kosovo and B&H a hotbed of jihadists (Vesti)

Professor at the Belgrade-based Faculty of Political Sciences Miroljub Jevtic warned that radical Islam in B&H goes ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with the most dangerous Islam in Kosovo and the US and the West realized lately that Islam is becoming a threat. Jevtic, who is a member of the board of directors of the Committee 22 for sociology of religion within the World Association for Sociology (as a representative of Europe), said to Srna agency that the most radical forms of Islam are the ones in Syria. He underlined that our region is becoming the part of it because of significant number of people from B&H, Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia who are departing to Syria and accepting such teaching. When it comes to Islam in Balkans, Jevtic stressed that Albanian Islam was always stronger since Albanians were always more affiliated to Islam than Bosnian Muslims. “It is not possible to make dough without flour. If the strongest Islam is in Kosovo and Western Macedonia, it is most logical that Islam movement will be recruited from there,” said Jevtic and added that B&H is going ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with Kosovo and that it is evident that this region has become a ‘hotbed’. Jevtic also said that the US is not able, ‘decisively and desperately’, to acknowledge the fact that Muslims will not accept the American system of values.
