Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) published today the results of the eighth survey on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

Jeta Krasniqi from KDI stressed that asked if Kosovo should go for new elections prior to the resumption of the final phase of the dialogue, 43.7 percent of the respondents assessed that elections should not take place prior to the resumption of the dialogue, 31.4 percent consider that general elections in Kosovo should take place prior to the conclusion of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

Asked if the agreement for normalization of the relations between Kosovo and Serbia should be reached, 32.1 percent of the respondents consider that the agreement should be reached this year, while 22.7 percent consider that the agreement will be reached next year. 4.4 percent of the respondents consider that the agreement should not be reached at all.

Violeta Hoxholli from KDI said 34.8 percent do not believe that Kosovo’s state delegation will manage to defend state interests of Kosovo, while 34.3 percent believe that the negotiating team will work in favor of Kosovo state.

Over 46 percent of the respondents consider that the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and Vetevendosje Movement should be involved in the dialogue.

The survey with 1070 respondents took place in the period from 3 to 12 March of this year.
