The European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Kosovo, Igor Soltes, told the news website today that he hopes Kosovo will finally get visa liberalization this year. “I hope it will happen this year, but everything depends on the member states and those that give the green light so that European institutions can continue their legal work in the process,” he added. Soltes said that people have left Kosovo in search of better opportunities but added that he hopes they will come back. “I strongly believe they will return home … It is important for every country to have a stable economy, to fight corruption and organized crime, so that it can provide better opportunities and a better life to its people,” he added.
