Head of the Investigation Committee for the case of the six expelled Turkish citizens from Kosovo, Xhalal Svecla, said he has received a letter by the Office of the President according to which President Thaci cannot respond to the invitation for an interview by the Committee. He informed that the Office requested to postpone this interview for 26 April.
On the other hand, member of this Committee from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Muharrem Nitaj said the Committee has not managed to complete the report within the arranged deadline and requested an additional month time to do so.
He said if the President has expressed the will to report on the matter, the committee should not impede him. Driton Selmanaj and Anton Quni from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) agreed with Nitaj.
This is the fourth time that Thaci does not respond to the invitation of the Committee. Earlier, Svecla warned they would force Thaci to testify.
