The Pristina-based news website reports that members of the German Bundestag, same as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, continue to strongly oppose the idea of correcting the border between Kosovo and Serbia. Following the Berlin Summit on Monday, CDU’s Michael Brand was very critical of EU High Representative Federica Mogherini’s support of the border correction idea. “The fact that the EU Foreign Policy chief, Mogherini, talks about border correction, is like playing with fire. Those that don’t oppose the idea of border correction are without a doubt not taking into account the fact that a bitter war can break out again in the Balkans. Let me make it clear that the EU has discredited itself in this case,” Brand said in an interview to Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg. He added that the German Chancellor has made it clear that there will be no border correction.
