Kosovo Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, met today with a delegation from Iowa, led by General Timothy Orr, commander of the Iowa National Guard. The meeting focused on the close cooperation Kosovo and Iowa have built over the years and modalities of cooperation in the future. Veseli thanked the Iowa National Guard and the state of Iowa for their continuous support to Kosovo in the area of security, especially in the training of military personnel. General Orr said: “I am honored to meet Assembly President Veseli and to thank him for his support to the special relationship between the state of Iowa and the Republic of Kosovo. His engagement is proof of Kosovo’s commitment to expand partnership between key sectors which include education, business and agriculture, and to further strengthen the cooperation between Kosovo and the United States of America”.
