Avdullah Hoti, caucus of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) reacted to the statement of the Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradianj, that LDK has done nothing against the idea for the division of Kosovo. Hoti said such statement shows Haradinaj’s opportunistic political character.
He wrote that in February 2018, LDK has requested from the Prime Minister not to avoid his constitutional obligation of leading with the dialogue. “He did the opposite, by endorsing a resolution which transferred leadership of the dialogue to the President.
Hoti further wrote that in September of 2018 his political entity together with the rest of the opposition, proposed a resolution at the Assembly which contained a single point: that the territory of Kosovo is nonnegotiable and that no one should negotiate it. However, according to Hoti, the Prime Minister and NISMA lacked courage to vote this resolution.
Hoti also mentioned LDK’s letters sent to the Foreign Ministers of EU countries and European People’s Parties, expressing their position against change of the borders.
According to Hoti, it was PM Haradinaj who did not undertake any measures “as leaving the dialogue to President Thaci, who is de facto leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), was the condition for him to become Prime Minister.”
“The entire world knows that Haradinaj does not consider it to be a problem to change his positions, in exchange for favors, and to come and stay in power. He stamped this with demarcation,” Hoti wrote.
