Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj commented today on remarks by Kosovo’s Ambassador to Washington, Vlora Citaku, about her conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday. Citaku said that during that an iftar dinner at the White House, she asked President Trump for the U.S. to be involved in the Kosovo – Serbia dialogue. Haradinaj commented today saying that relations between the United States and Kosovo are not relations pertaining to individuals but rather relations that were built by the two peoples. “Relations between the U.S. and Kosovo are not up to individuals. They belong to the people. Individuals come and go. There have been ambassadors even before Vlora. These are relations between two countries … The majority of ambassadors did not present topics of national interest in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister. You know that we have had some internal disputes. I believe they have realized that we need consultations all the time,” Haradinaj added.
