Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj said the upcoming meeting in Paris between leaders of Kosovo and Serbia will determine whether an agreement is achievable this year.
In a Facebook post, Hoxhaj wrote: “2019 is a good opportunity to reach agreement with Serbia but also a missed chance if the Paris Summit doesn’t project the principles, expectations and clear parametres surrounding the dialogue.”
Hoxhaj said Kosovo is interested and prepared to reach an agreement with Serbia and that this can be done through concerted actions between the U.S. and the EU. He added that only a meaningful agenda can make 2019 a year of a Kosovo-Serbia agreement.
