Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, has written to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, to express concern over the arrests and ‘continuous intimidation’ of Kosovo citizens by Serbian authorities.
“I call on the EU to intervene and stop these actions by Belgrade. Kosovo is ready to take countermeasures to react and protect its citizens of all ethnic and religious background”, Pacolli wrote on his social media.
Pacolli’s letter follows the arrest of an official from the Kosovo Tax Administration by authorities in Serbia. Marjan Gjokaj was arrested as he was travelling from to Kosovo from Croatia and through Serbia.
