Several villages, including the Serb-majority village of Gorazdevac in Pec municipality, would protest today in front of a former Leather and Footwear Factory, now owned by Shala family company over disposal of hazardous industrial waste, Radio KIM reports.

According to KIM Radio a hazardous chemical waste was transported and stationed there on Friday, under the escort of police, several firefighters and ambulance vehicles. Such a scene disturbed witnesses and inhabitants of several surrounding villages.

The inhabitants are displeased because there was no debate at all related to the transportation of hazardous waste, and many are concerned about the impact such waste might have on the health of people living there.
