The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) Isa Mustafa informed the French Ambassador Didier Chabert about his party’s position on the key issues and political developments in Kosovo.
“The position of the LDK on the dialogue with Serbia is clear. The borders of the Republic of Kosovo as proclaimed with the independence of Kosovo on 17 February 2008 and recognised by more than 100 states are non-negotiable. LDK will not become part of the negotiating team because negotiation of international agreements is a duty and obligation of the government of Kosovo. The dialogue should be led by a government supported by wide majority of the Assembly,” Mustafa said adding that early elections are vital and unavoidable.
Ambassador Chabert valued LDK’s constructive role on state-building processes in Kosovo during the last three decades.
“Ambassador Chabert informed Mustafa about a French and German delegation which will be visiting Kosovo soon in order to discuss with key political actors prior to the Paris meeting.
Mustafa expressed LDK’s satisfaction to meet this delegation,” was written in a press communique released by LDK.
