The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci received today the Deputy Director of Office of South Central European Affairs, Bureau of European & Eurasian Affairs at United States Department of State, Susan Falatko, accompanied by the US Ambassador Philip Kosnett, a press release informs.
Further it reads that Thaci and Falatko talked about the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, and also the rule of Law in Kosovo, Koha.net reports.
“Kosovo is dedicated to strengthening the good neighborly relations. Dialogue should continue without conditions and with a consensual support of all Quint states” Thaci said, emphasizing the irreplaceable role of the US.
He also emphasis that the fight against organized crime, smuggling and corruption is permanent and will continue.
“Local institutions a year ago took over the competences in the rule of law, and now we have increased dynamics” Thaci stated.
On the other side, Susan Falatko highlighted the importance that Kosovo remains committed to strengthening the rule of law and achieving normalization of relations with Serbia.
She reconfirmed that the US will remain committed in advancing bilateral and regional interests.
