European Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, reiterated the call to the government of Kosovo to revoke tax on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking from Brussels while presenting European Commission’s annual reports on the implementation of the region’s enlargement strategy, Hahn said the tax needs to be lifted to unblock dialogue for normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. He also said he plans to visit Kosovo the coming months to this end.
“Kosovo should focus on SAA agreement and revoke the 100-percent tax on Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and continue dialogue. In June I will make efforts in both these countries, by visiting them, to unblock this situation which is also blocking the region,” Hahn is quoted.
