Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met today in Pristina with the diplomatic advisors to French President Macron and German Chancellor Merkel, the news website reports. Thaci thanked the French-German delegation for their visit and thanked them for Macron and Merkel’s efforts to help resume the EU-facilitated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. Thaci said “dialogue must resume without any conditions and the tariffs must remain in power”. He further argued that “Kosovo would not accept any new conditions in the visa liberalization process, especially not related to demands on the tariffs or the Association of Serb-majority municipalities”. Thaci also said that Kosovo remains committed to the process of dialogue that must conclude with a comprehensive peace agreement, mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia and Kosovo’s membership of the United Nations.
