The British Ambassador to Kosovo, Ruairi O’Connell, hailed the decision of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to release from duty two officials that have been convicted of crimes.
“Kosovo has taken some small but positive recent steps against organised crime and corruption. Kosovo’s friend, just like your own citizens, need this to become a serious effort that targets the worst offenders too. Arrests are the easy part. Convictions are more important,” O’Connell wrote on social media.
