Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he will always react when someone speaks lies before the international community, reports Serbian media.

“I reacted like any honourable man would to a lie,” Dacic said to Belgrade based TV Pink, adding “what does anyone care what someone said after the session, did anyone listen to what was said afterwards”.

The foreign minister said that he behaves diplomatically towards diplomats but that “if someone lies, I will not turn the other cheek”. “If someone throws a stone a me, I won’t toss a flower. I might but in a flowerpot,” Dacic said.

Dacic says also that he is prepared to face the consequences if he did something wrong when arguing with Kosovo’s Ambassador to the US Vlora Citaku following a session of the UN Security Council.

He also says that he did not go to the session of the UN Security Council to have fun but to defend the interests of Serbia.

“I will not allow that it is considered that a European and worldly Serb should be an anti – Serb. We must not allow it to be the motto of the political and social scene,” Dacic emphasized.

He adds that the permanent members of the UN Security Council are not aware of the situation, and that after such a presentation of Citaku, they may think that the Serbs are colonizers, that they came from faraway and found Albanians in Kosovo, mistreated them and colonized them, and now they freed themselves.

Pristina constantly points to ”genocide” against Albanians before the international community, but he says, in this case there should be fewer Albanians after the conflict, and the picture is different because in Kosovo there are many less Serbs.

“While I spoke at the UN Security Council that there were more than 400 populated places in Kosovo, where the Serbs lived and that there are no Serbs in 311 places, Citaku laughed and together with her, the English. When I talk about ethnic cleansing and crimes against Serbs, they are laughing,” concluded Dacic.
